If you haven’t noticed by now, I am an anxious planner. I like to plan and organize. It gives me a A-Team “I love it when a plan comes together” moment when I am reaching THE moment BUT so does the anxiety.
I know things come up… I have my own good deal of that! Did I ever tell you the story of my 8 person attendance wedding? The GPS broke on the way to the Arboretum. The Reverend overslept and we had to call him to wake him. Blazing hot August in North Carolina with my hubby in his blues and me in my handmade wedding dress that I did myself. PS the dress…it was fitted and not for me to find out I was pregnant about 2 weeks before. Needless to say… I know things go off the plan BUT it doesn’t make the anticipation any easier!
I do trust my training though. I’ve made all runs. I could not handle missing training miles. Before we began this journey, I was at 197.18 miles for the year. The plan called for 461.3 miles including the marathon itself. I have already run 419.67 of those miles. (Could you tell numbers soothe me?)
Until then…I need to twittle thumbs and pray that I don’t scare myself! IT’S JUST ANOTHER LONG RUN!
- Pre-marathon massage!
- Gear for the day is good!
- Ordered a new pair of compression sleeves for a better color option & they came in 🙂
