Letters to you: 37 weeks

Here’s my letter to you… These last two weeks have been quite busy around here.  Your big brother started school.  Your big sister started her dance school year.  We are on the every week appointment schedule at the doctor’s office. The doctor said that you seem to be measuring right on schedule and we are […]

Nesting: Washcloths & Burp Clothes

I had a bit of terry cloth leftover from other projects and in my nesting process was desperate to find something to do with it for Baby Hannah.  While searching around on Pinterest, I found two different projects that really interested me.  It’s the two things I feel you never have enough of for baby…washcloths […]

Fit Prego: Might be time to stop.

I’ve entered the realm of sleepless nights and back laboring.  Normal errands and appointments have been enough to get to the halfway of my daily step goals in FitBIt.  I find that this pregnancy I have definitely been feeling more.  Not sure if it’s because this is number 4 or maybe because I am a […]

Overwhelmed with excitement!

Sometimes there are orders and fabric combinations that come into my Etsy Shop or Big Cartel Shop that just get me overwhelmingly excited! This was one of those!!! Almost sad to send this beauty out, but she’s going to a wonderful home! I don’t even have anything else to say…she simply speaks volumes for herself!

Menu planning: A little more simple

My favorite for the week! Roast Beef Sandwich with Melted Cheese and Caramelized Onions http://www.skinnytaste.com/2013/06/roast-beef-sandwich-with-melted-cheese.html This was a recipe making use of the leftovers from the Garlic Lover’s Roast Beef.  I should have known that after falling in love with that recipe that this would shine through for me for this week!  We used french bread […]

Nesting: Minky blanket

A boutique style baby blanket with designer print and minky! First cut down the size that you’d like.  A normal baby blanket is about a 29″ x 35″ (cut a 30″ x 36″ to allow for a 1/2″ seam all around). I love rounded edges, so I folded it in half twice then placed down […]

My Love Story: 4 years ago!

It’s hard to imagine what life would be like if 6 1/2 years ago, I chose a different path.  I know they say that the unknown is always scary but I find that too scary to think of. My life would be without my best friend…without my 4 blessings…without the venture into a sewing business…without […]

Working on our financial fitness

I recently finished reading the Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover. I’m proud to say that this house is totally on board with it! We are not doing bad but we could always being doing better right? Knowing and hearing things the way he put it definitely reached me. I do think though that I was […]

Nesting: Baby wipes & wipes solution bottle with recipe

How can you not love simple, little projects! The cover on the bottle was easy peasy! Measure around.  Cut adding an additional inch. I serged the top and bottom of the flannel Sew a 1/2″ seam to the edges.  Done! These are baby wipes that I made from scrap flannel I had. Cut them into […]

Fit Prego: Oh what a feeling!

Yes, I am slowing down.  Well I guess that depends on your definition of the word.  I am indoors.  I’ve been mostly cleaning, sewing, studying and cooking!  Lately I have been quite mindful of not overdoing it.  There’s one big thing that I did not realize before…being more fit means I can feel more.  It […]
