Closet help is here!!! DIY: Closet Separators

Closet help is here!!!
I know that I am not the only person out there that totally feels overwhelmed by the first two years of baby clothes.  Whether its all the sale hunting, passing down from an older sibling or grandparent’s shopping sprees…there’s a crazy amount of clothes EVERYWHERE!  And with every child growing at different rates while clothing is sized all differently how are we as parents ever supposed to escape the clutter!?!?!  PLUS I can’t even tell you with Aiden and Lilli how many pieces were never even worn because I forgot that I even had them.  So with all that in mind, I decided to start size tagging just like in a store.  Incredibly simple project that only cost maybe $3.00.  I took all of Isabel & Lilli’s clothes for this.
  • Separated all the clothes by size
  • Placed down the clothes pins
  • Took a break (most important step to keep your sanity!)
  • Found a wedding table number card design
  • Edited them to have the clothing size
  • Printed on card stock & cut them to 2 1/2″ squares
  • Snagged one of my 12″x12″ purty papers from my scrap booking supplies
  • Cut it down to 3″ squares
  • Hot glued the size card to the 3″ squares
  • Glued the 3″ squares to the top of the clothes pins
  • Sat back and gave myself a pat on the back 🙂

Here’s the link to my size cards 🙂

  1. Oh I love that! I wish our closets were long enough to do this!

  2. Thanks! I'm excited that we were able! Another friend just said that she was going to adapt it to Shirts, Sweaters, Dresses, Pants, Shorts, etc.
